The Pre-Kindergarten Class

The four-year-old is in a transition period of great growth and change.  According to Piaget, the four-year-old child still views the world from a primarily egocentric perspective. He/she is, however, beginning to make sense of an external reality, including others around him/her – especially peers.  In the pre-kindergarten class, children will foster their inquisitive nature and initiatives for independence across all areas of the curriculum, with an emphasis on the learning process rather than the end product.

The Kindergarten Class

The objectives in the kindergarten class build on those established in pre-kindergarten and begin to add elements of an academic program in preparation for primary school. The program is designed to allow the child to develop at his/her own pace and according to his/her own needs and style of learning.
